To search for a particular country or province, enter the full name or parts of it. Example: If you type in "German" the database looks fot Germany, but also delivers all records stored under Bavaria, Berlin etc.

The country names can be written in English, German or French.

As the locality hierarchy follows the ISO country code only equal levels can be merged. For example: some localities are stored under Corsica, but to get all record of Corsica, either Corse-du-Sud and Haute-Corse have to be checked too , or "France" has to be typed to check the whole country.

The search is not case sensitive.
